Angkatan Amanah Merdeka (AMANAH) an Ngo headed by the veteran Umno leader Tengku Razalieh Hamzah is to be inaugurated tomorrow (22nd July 2011) at Auditorium Memorial Tunku Abdul Rahman,Jalan Dato Onn Kuala Lumpur to promote racial unity, good governance and respect for the constitution. According to their spokesman Wan Saiful Wan Jan a central committee member, all are welcomed to join irrespective of their political affiliations. There are unconfirmed reports that prominent members both from the diverse political divide will join the movement.
As the nation now is being bombarded with extreme political, racial and religious views, at one end we have the extreme Right by the Neo Fascist Ibrahim Ali and other likeminded group which unleashes race and religious supremacy policy, the other end we have Bersih and other Ngo’s and political parties which clamors for transparency and reform. And Amanah the brainchild of the Kelantan Prince who is highly respected and revered is widely expected to chart the middle part, emulating the first prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman, who threaded the nation to peaceful coexistence and harmony, until it was hijacked by Dr.M who demolished whatever built by Tunku, and leaving a despicable legacy which the country is now entrapped.
Citizens who wants to see the country regain its lost splendor, which is currently engulfed with , racial and religious extremism, the lost the independence of Judiciary , the degrading of the Police Force which has become the tool of repression for the ruling regime, the sacking of the legitimately formed Perak State government, the discriminatory policies of the sharing of revenue from petroleum resources to State ruled by the opposition, the grave social engineering in changing the demographic structure of Sabah whereby foreigners has outnumbered locals competing for limited resources, the continued support for the corrupted White Haired Rajah of Sarawak, Taib Mohamad, who has become immune to prosecution, the continued harassment and demonizing of Anwar Ibrahim and conspiracies to kill him politically, governance issue, corruption and etc and etc …… Too long to elaborate here completely.
Hearing of Amanah’s launching by Ku Li is like cool breeze and rain after a prolonged draught. Even an iota of problem which can be solved by this new organization will be welcoming relief, to a nation which has lost its direction. Best wishes to our beloved Prince Ku LI.
