9th July,A day of reckoning

A month of propaganda blitz in the main stream media, demonizing Anwar, Ambiga and the entire Bersih was despised as the epitome of evil. Ambiga was portrayed as an infidel out to tarnish Islam, PAS, for betraying the Malay race and accused of being a stooge of DAP to trample and create disunity among them. And Anwar Ibrahim accused for itching to be Prime Minister in haste. Yellow T shirts, shoes buses, underwear’s, bras were outlawed. Hundreds were arrested throughout the country some under section 122 of the Penal Code for waging war against His Majesty the King. Dragnets of Road Blocks were placed throughout major exits and entrance of Towns. But in spite of all this 50,000 people braved themselves to walk in the street with water jet lased with chemical irritants and canisters of tear gas directed at them. The long walk for democracy of the multi ethnic people broke the myth and Umno’s propaganda that is only a Malay affair. For the chagrin of Umno’s spin masters.

Malaysians defied the despicable police brutalities and atrocities which they only see as news unleashed in some despotic third world regimes, defied the harsh reality of getting across the brutal Police force and walked proudly with their fellow countryman to show to the world that their democratic right for fair and clean elections cannot forever be subdued, and they are a united force in the endeavor to throw their despotic rulers to their rightful place, the abyss of oblivion.
A truly united Malaysians walked in solidarity, who disregarded threats of racial unrest, the rekindling of the old threat of bloodshed of the May 13 1969 episode, the 50,000 Silat exponents who threatened to soil their Keris with blood  to all those who are going to defy the governments order to demonstrate, and the Perkasa provocateur, Ibrahim Ali threatened to the Chinese to not join the rally and racial venom he spit, did not break the resolve of the people to join with their fellow compatriots, putting to shame Najib’s I Malaysia crab.
 Mathias Chang
Prime Minister Najib today 10th July 2011, at Putra World Trade Center, bragged about the success of the clampdown of the rally, shamelessly congratulating the spineless PDRM.If not for the unprecedented amassment of the police force, the biggest deployment in history, to derail the aspiration of the people in their peaceful demand for electoral reform, 300,000 people would have walked in the streets of Kuala Lumpur, which would have shaken Najib’s hold in his party culminating his early exit, and demise of his leadership.
To quote Mathias Chang the former political secretary of Mahathir, “and if the election is held this year, I am willing to put my reputation on the line as a former political secretary to the fourth Prime Minister, that Barisan Nasional will never be able to reclaim the 2/3rd majority in Parliament as well as the four state governments controlled by the Opposition coalition”. The Prime Minister will be ousted within six months from date of the election.

Malaysians has proven that this time the fear is not feared. They are not intimidated by the mass arrest, and the threats, which cannot break the resolve and their aspirations for change. When citizens are no longer are afraid of the ruler’s atrocities and bullets, the ruler’s days are numbered.
